Societies

Being situated within two miles or so of the M25, between the A12 and A127, just south of Brentwood, Thorndon Park is easily accessed and ideal for a society or company day outing. We will be happy to cater for your individual needs and offer outstanding menus.

Please confirm your booking at least 7 days prior to the date of your visit and provide a copy of the start sheet. The Club will make every effort to accommodate late changes, but reserves the right to charge for non-attendees.

Two or three balls is the normal format of play, four balls are allowed only with special permission from the Club Manager. Play is from the yellow tees.

Maximum handicaps allowed are Men 24 and Ladies 36. Confirmation of handicap may be requested.

Buggies are available for hire for medical reasons only and should be booked in advance.

Trade banners and advertising material may be used with prior permission from the Club Manager.

Our Society Days are Monday, Tuesday and Friday throughout the year. Societies should contain at least 12 players. Societies greater than 52 players require special consideration. Please contact the Club Manager in this instance. We can tailor any society package to your needs, but typical examples may be:

*Choice for One-Course Main Meal includes, Steak & Kidney Pie, Steak & Ale Pie, Chicken & Mushroom Pie, Chicken & Ham or Minted Lamb Pie - all served with chips and peas. Also Chicken Curry, Beef in Red Wine, Chicken Fillet in Mushroom, Wine & Tarragon or Chasseur Sauce, - all served with Rice.

Winter Package - £39.00 per person
Our Winter Package for a minimum of 12 players is available from November 2009 until March 2010 and can also be designed to suit your needs. Our basic package is

• 18 holes of golf
• Tea/coffee on arrival
• Choice of
• Full English breakfast
• Ham, eggs & chips
• Scampi, chips & salad

The following items can also be added to the Winter Package:

• Bacon sandwich £2.00
• Sandwiches after play £3.00
• Three-course carvery dinner-minimum 20 people - £19.00.
• Three-course set meal £19.00

We can also offer the following with any package:- Two-course lunch £14.00 Three-course lunch £17.00 Two-course course dinner £16.00 Options for two-course meals are Main Course plus either Starter or Dessert, plus Coffee. Choice to be made when booking.

Any changes in numbers for catering must be notified at the latest 48 hours prior to the day or a charge will be made. If you have any special dietary requirements these can be catered for by prior arrangement with the Restaurant Manager or the Chef.
